What is included?
| Format | Page size | Complete squares across × down |
|---|---|---|
| A4 | 210 × 297 mm | 28 × 42 squares |
| US Letter | 215.9 × 279.4 mm | 29 × 39 squares |
The pattern is centered inside the margins. A4 and Letter use the same spacing; the number of squares changes with the page size. All grid lines have the same weight, without bold counting lines.
How big is a quarter-inch square?
One quarter inch is exactly 6.35 mm. Four adjacent squares span 1 inch (25.4 mm), and eight span 2 inches (50.8 mm). These PDFs use that physical spacing on both A4 and US Letter paper.
Is this the same as 5mm graph paper?
No. Quarter-inch squares are 27% wider than 5 mm squares. If your project uses centimeters, 5mm graph paper makes metric measurements easier. Check your assignment before choosing a grid: changing the paper format does not convert inches to millimeters.
